Here's another digital speed paint in my new urban landscapes series. This series is about transport routes away from the dark and bleak railway landscapes from my daily commute. This series focuses on the transitionary nature of travel, those lonely plces like service stations on motorways, haunting, brightly lit yet not full of happiness, full of lost souls drifting through, the monotonous sounds of traffic droning by.
This painting was based on a photograph as reference. but it WASN'T traced from a photo or is it a photo with effects on! I opened the reference in another screen and sketched it i photoshop using my wacom tablet. It was great to react in such a quick loose way, shrapens up the skills!
